Thumbs up 1968 Chevy Long Fleetside

Hey, new to the forum and I would like a little guidance. Have a 1968 Chevy truck fleetside longbox, looking to lower it and upgrade the brake system. Any tips on what vendor makes reliable parts? Looking to complete a 3.5'' x 5" drop. Any problems with clearance in the back for the frame? Curently running a 250 straight 6 with a SM-465, and I would imagine pretty low gears in the back. My ultimate goal is to be able to have a "glorified" driver, not a trailer queen, something I don't mind getting wet in the rain but at the same time, not every time it rains.

Rather tell you guys about everything I plan to do one day I will just talk about the things I think I can accomplish in the short-term, so I can have a reliable truck to run with my wife.

RamJet350
700R4
Discs Brakes on drop spindles in the front, upgrade the rears as well
relocate in cab fuel tank to the rear

Anybody have any tips? Kinda new to this scene. Comment with some tips and lessons learned if you have the time. Thanks, Josh
