`85 K5 Blazer w/TPI - "High-Tide"
Just thought I would post my K5 for those of you that may want to check out a TPI conversion.
I just got done the motor and breaking it in in the pic. Not completely done as far as cosmetics go on both the motor and the body. Once the motor is broke in, I'll finish up the cosmetics, pull the front clip off and put a 91 on. For specifics: 5.7 - .30 over w/ mod'd 516 castings & Magnum roller rockers. Ton of other mods and gracious amount of chrome & aluminum. Took forever to glass bead everything.. 700R4 - B&M shift kit, corvette servo, deep kool pan, etc.. TPI - pieced together. The main parts (runners/plenum/intake/wire harness) came from an `86 IROC. Converted the MAF harness and setup to a speed density system (730 comp-eprom) She's kewld by a 19" flex Fan (reverse rotation) and an aftermarket 4 core radiator. Differentials - 10bolt corporates - 4.88's with the Yukon hd Axles and Detroit True-tracs. Body/suspension - 6" EZ-ride suspension with 8 (2 @each corner) Pro Comp 9000s shocks. - alot more to list but bored you enough... If anyone has any questions about the conversion, Feel free to ask.. |
