I just got a pair like those from Chevy Duty, I just finished painting them today. I took out one of the screws that holds them tight and sprayed some lubricant in there so that might help with the rust. I don't think those ones are factory original Longhorn, the ones I had on my truck that rusted out had a bit of detail on the face, just a circular crease.
Does anybody know what the original finish the bolts should be that hold the mirrors to the arm? The part with the acorn nut on the end. The replacement mirrors I got have chrome bolts but my truck looked like the bolts were painted to match the mirrors. ------------------ 1969 Chevrolet Custom Camper 20 350/400 70k original miles, 99% rust free, Never winter driven ![]() They have the Internet on Computers now? --Homer Simpson Gee_Emm's Page Vote for my truck to be on the label of a bottle of Jones Soda!!! ![]() |
