Question shift linkage ?

I have been neglecting my hobby and friends for some time now, but I am back and have been busy getting the Blazer together. I have the engine in the K5 running and almost have it in driving condition. I am missing a few parts and am planning on scouring the wrecking yards for them but I need some information from the folks here. I am missing the automatic shift lever from the column to the transmission linkage.
Q- Do I have to find one from a 4x4 donor or will one from any auto truck work?
I think that any lever will work but I figured I would put the question out there.
Thanks in advance for any feedback,
Mario
