New Engine!

After a year of saving and bargain hunting, the 383 is done. It's the first engine I've built from the ground up, so say a prayer for me when it goes on the dyno on the 19th.

Here are the details: 383 small block, Vortec heads with all the necessary mods done(ARP studs, clearanced for the lift, Lunati springs, retainers and keepers), Crower 222/230@.050 .470/.488 hydraulic cam, Crane gold race roller rockers, Holley 670 street avenger, totally redone points dist. with Ignitor II and MSD. The short block is a Scat stroker crank w/Eagle 6" full floating rods, SRP dished pistons w/file fit rings. The whole rotating assembly is internally balanced. Zero decked block gives 9.75:1 compression.

Here's the bare block.
