400 sbc build up

well i changed my plan again, from 400 pontiac to 500 caddy and now to a 406sbc for my 71 3/4 short fleet4x4 and saving the other moters for 2wd trucks i want to build the 406 for maximum torque at the bottom end. this engine will never see upwards of 4000 rpm if that, looking for peak torque just under 3000 rpm i want to run it on pump gas possably 87 octaine but91 is not out of the question because i know the whole key to voulometric efficincy is cr. iwill probably use 5.7 " rods. i would like your oppinions on pistons and heads. i have a performor and a holly street dominater intake. i will contact either ultra-dyne or lunetti for a cam grind when i have everything else worked out. i'm running 4.10 gears with 33' tires in a aprox. 4500#truck with a turbo 350 trans to be used as a driver and a tow rig till the next tow rig is put togather
