o boy...just when i was wondering if the guy's upstairs had forgotten about me...BOOM....
BEEN HAVING SOME BAD LUCK AS OF LATE..

well any way, i was checking the oil and adding some on the 69 and then started it up. noticed the alternator drivers side mounted sb style.
shaking as normal for years. looked at the bolts.. ones half out. go to tighten !!!
nope its broken about 1/8 inch in the head
well this is when my stomach sunk. been having this feeling alot as of late.
pulled on the bolt, the broken ends all rusty and smashed.
been broken for some time..well there's only two bolts holding this thing as we all know, how the whole thing had not just fallen off, and caused all kinds of damage no one knows.
well if you look at where these bolt holes are..it's not good..
i say a little prayer.. cut down a drill bit and use the air drill and drilled a hole
in the bolt.. out it came with the easy out..

this could have been real ugly,, real fast.

why do i think god blessed me

was able and blessed with the tools to drill out with out removing the fan or anything.

the alt. had not fallen off and caused tons of damage

the bolt backed right out..

i had new bolts on hand to replace the old ones with.

it was a 15 min. repair

OK i am done..i just want to say sometimes we take the little things for granted..included a couple pictures to show...god bless mark
