Does the rear pillar curve sit down outer floor

Sorry for another rust repair question but mine was so gone I couldn't tell
Based on the curved lip on the inner side of my rear pillar patch it sits down over the top of the outer floor section. ? is how Far is the spacing or right down on top. I searched all the rust sections but didn't see a pic
