hey whats up 78 el camino in tx

im 18 and i love old cars so my uncle gave me a decent looking 78 el camino with a 327, i recently installed myself new hooker headers and a holley fuel pump intake manifold and a 770 holley, i ran into a little problem with the carburetor though, the air vent for the bowl floods and ive had trouble finding the problem, i will probably drop in a 396 in about a year or so but i still want my 327 to have a good amount of power while i drive it around.
