72 K5 A/C Questions

I am working on gathering parts to get the A/C working in my new 72. I bought a reman compressor, new dryer and new expansion valve/oriface tube. My truck was already converted to 134a.....my question is should i use the POA valve or convert it to a cycling system with a POA valve update kit from Chevy Duty.
What can i expect out of my system once i get it all working? Any suggestions or advice is greatly appreciated.
