What does it mean when...

OK,

I jacked the rearend of my truck up to check to see if I have a posi or not. I am on the passenger side, so that's the wheel I turn. The other wheel doesn't turn at all.

So I jack the rear end up a little more, incase the other was stuck to the dirt. I have it up about an inch off the ground and try again. Same thing.

I go to the driver's side and turn that wheel. The passenger side turns the opposite direction. I go back to the passenger side and turn it again...nothing.

Is my rearend screwed up? I thought you were supposed to be able to turn either wheel and the opposite would turn.

Thanks guys!

James
