Chinese Bearings - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

After a couple of premature rear axle bearing failures and other bearing failures of bearings that was manufactured in China, I contacted a bearing supplier and asked them if they were a quality bearing. I was told the Chinese bearings were an economy bearing and if I wanted a quality bearing to use something made in USA, Japan, or Italy. Has anyone else had a similar experience or am I just getting a bunch of sales hype?
