Carpet? Sound deadener?

I finally got all the rusty floor panels taken care of... so now it's time to carpet and do some sound/heat insulation. I'm looking for a material that's not as expensive as Dynamat, but still works well. I've heard of "Brown Bread" .. are there any other sound deadeners out there that are worth a look?

Also, carpet will be going over the insulation, obviously. Have those of you who've replaced your carpet just gone with the molded set from a Vendor? Or have you purchased / cut & fit your own? Any good tips ore types of carpet to use?

I love this customizing stuff.... now if only I had more money... and time... and..... LOL

Thanks in advance guys (and gals)

Russ
