Yeah I bet it could. Oh yeah straight pipes will get you in trouble quick around here. We dont' live in a rich neighborhood but the neighbors still hated it. One finally called the cops on me and I got a "verbal warning", so I went and got short glasspacks put on it, hardly any difference! Now that I think about it there was another '70 in the parking lot at school, the guy that drove it graduated a year before I did. It was a 1/2 ton longbed painted John Deere green, had a straight six with a stick shift. He kept his truck at the other end of the parking lot.
