Tach with Gas Gauge Mod. Neat. Cheap??

In my surfing ebay for gauge clusters I came across one of the one that has the gas gauge in the tach.

What's interesting is one of the pictures of the back shows where the wiring was modified to make it work.

Looks like a Non-tach regular gas gauge cluster housing was modified to have the opening to the Tach terminals and a homemade Tach harness was made. The 12V is pulled from the circuit "board", + is pulled from the stock gas gauge 12V + and - from a common line or the gas gauge - or both tough to tell what that brown wire is doing but it look like it goes to the tack- and the stock gas gauge -. They are shared wires to the Tach and Fuel Gauge for 12V power. Some wiring was added to jumper the fuel gauage wiring from the stock location down to the fuel gauge that's in the tach. That wiring goes through where the "Fasten Belts" and "Brake" lights are normally. I wonder if that means they aren't on the cluster anywhere or if they are somewhere else Speedo maybe?

So if you can scrounge a tach with gas gauge out of one of the Medium or heavy duty trucks cheap looks like you can convert you existing cluster and maybe do it on the cheap and nad a clock or etc, instead of shelling out $150-$200 for a whole cluster.
