64 ebrake cables & tensioner etc...
anybody know of a parts interchange manual for the 60-66 years? I've heard many parts up to 1972 will work, but it'd be nice to know, before buying a part only to find out it won't work...
the 64 I bought, has the ebrake handle under the steering column, but no cabling running to it... under the body, there is a single cable running from the driver's rear drum brake, past the t-case a little bit, and is bolted into some kind of C type metal bracket, which is connected to nothing... I see a long spring around that area, that appears to have no function, as it's not keeping tension on anything... so it appears I'm missing the cable tensioner, mounting brackets? and forward cabling to the e-brake handle. --in addition to having troubles getting just the ebrake cables... I've looked around alot and only found one place that says they have e-brake cables that'll work on my truck, and they want $90 a piece for them! that seems rather ridiculous to me... so I thought I'd ask you folks if you'd had the same issue, and what did you do to fix your ebrake cable issues? also, has anyone found a place to buy a replacement wiper switch for a 64? having troubles finding one, too...
