fuel selector valve

When i was dropping the driver side tank and replacing it's lines, i noticed my tank selector valve doesn't look like one posted in another topic. The sending unit wires (or at least driver side for sure) goes to the front of the cab, and the valve appears to be a 6 port valve (truck is non smog). On the driver side, the sending wire is day blue and it goes through the frame rail and forward in the direction of the cab, not along the frame rail to the valve. Didn't have enough time to look at the wire for pass side, one of the pictures make it look like it goes across the cross-member, presumably to join the other wire in the large string of wires going to the cab. The yellowish wire is the only one actually going into the valve. Am i just looking at it wrong?
