New guy - Mesa, AZ
Hey everyone, just wanted to introduce myself.
Little info about my truck: I have a 1970 Chevy C10 Stepside that I bought when I was 15 (now 30 & still have it). I rolled it on its driver side when I was 17. A friend of my dad's that was a painter said that he would help me do the bodywork and paint it if I helped around his shop. Two weeks and prepping the entire passenger side later he decides to move away, so here is my truck less than halfway done and no one to work on it. The dents from the rollover started to rust so I threw on some primer to stop it from advancing, hence the multi colors. I'm interested in starting to restore it now that I'm in a place in my life to be able to do it. Looking for help. I can change the oil and that kind of stuff, but I don't know a thing about gear ratios and the sort. My dad was a mechanic and growing up there was always some kind of car being restored in our garage, 57 Corvette, 3 - 57 Bel Airs, 56 Nomad, 2 55 Bel Airs and a 69 Camaro. But personally I don't know a thing about restoring. My job was to sand them with the water hose running. Sorry the post is kinda long. Hope to be around for awhile and learning as much as possible.
