VIN question...
OK, I was messin with the Longhorn this evening, painting the frame rails, and I noticed something about the VIN stamping.
Here is the VIN tag, as many of you remember from another post... The funny thing is...the frame's VIN is off by one digit...it says 60292...instead of 60293 like the cab/title. Have any of you ever seen this on a truck? We all know the odds of finding 2 trucks, one built right after the other is so slim, it may as well be imposable. Our theory here is that the cab that was going on this frame was messed up on the assembly line, and they just tossed the next cab on it. But then, all the trucks built after that would be off by one number too...at least all the ones built after June in Baltimore would be anyways. So how about it, does your original cab/chassis have a 100% matching VIN? |
