question on cam vs springs

I just picked up a set of fresh 882 heads with a stock replacement valve springs from local shop. My question is... can I get away with a cam thats in the 440 lift range without coil bind. I believe the stock replacement cam is somthing in the .396/.400 lift. I don't think an extra .040 is going to hurt???

Ill check for coil bind but just looking for thoughts...

The heads are going on a fresh flattop 355 and will end up in my 86.
The 180,000 mile 305 is dead tired.
