Two year anniversary
October 2 marks my two year anniversary since first meeting my 67 rusting away behind a dealership in Roseville. October 2, 2004. I just realized it's been almost 2 whole years! Yup...
It's not really a big deal like I celebrate or anything but it kind of is for me. If you've ever seen the movie (or read the novel) Christine, then you know what I mean. It's more than just a truck sometimes. It was really hot today and the motor just kind of "gave up" while I was idling around in a parking lot. I got pissed and just kind of thought about what a nice Mustang with a V8 would be like. I even picked up the classifieds section. You see where I'm getting at. Then a friend of mine I went camping with sent me pictures that I had taken (as well as a few others involving a lack of clothing on my part ) I had taken scenic pictures of the truck on it's first outting in who knows how many years. It was a 2 hour drive, 80 percent of which was freeway. The old 250 did pretty dang good considering I haven't done much mroe than a tune up, a transmission swap, and had it cranking out 3500 RPM for such a long time. Heck, even the gas mileage was good. I'm still driving it on the same tank of gas! Anyway, I'm completely over the piss session I had. I mean, it's an old motor, and I shouldn't be so suprised that it was running crappy in this kind of heat we're having. And as a result of all this emotion I decided to show my two scenic pics up at Ladoga park, CA and pictures from two eyars ago when this truck looked worse than some of the ones at the graveyard.
