Lowering experts ???
Looking at the rear suspension on my 2wd Blazer I notice that there is only about 2" - 2-1/2" of clearance from the axle housing to the frame. There is a flip kit installed so I am guessing it is lowered 5". The "snubbers" were cut off. There are no marks on the housing or frame so I was wondering how much travel is there in the rear springs/suspension?
I also noticed that on one side the rear shock has had the outer/over part cut way back. I looks like there is only about 1-1/2" of shaft between the shock body and the other end of the shock. Is it possible that the person that lowered the Blazer was using the shocks as a suspension limiter? I.e., the shocks will bottom out on themselves before the axle will on the frame. Anyone have any ideas on this?
