Insurance hassles

I'm new to this forum and so far I'm impressed. Its been hard to find a place with as much info on these trucks as StangNet has for my Mustang. With that said, I'm hoping to get some info on the 1792 blazer my girlfriend owns. It was recently hit (while sitting in front of my house) by a drunk driver. Her insurance company has valued the car ~ $3,600. I agree with the appraiser I hired who claims its closer to $7k. While I was going over the valuation statement that AAA provided us, it appears they are trying to compare her 1972 K5 Blazer CST, with 4wd, auto tranny and 350 to 2 1972 K10 Blazers 4x4 with 6 cyl engines. My question is this:

When I looked up the K10 I found info on trucks and suburbans. Did the '72 Blazer come in a K10? What WAS the K10? What might the insurance company be talking about? They didn't include any pictures so I'm having trouble figuring this out.

Thanks!
