My modified van tilt column
Finally remembered to take some pics of my tilt column that I installed a month or so ago. This is a mid 70's automatic van tilt column that I modified for my manual 4 speed truck. That involved shaving off the tilt shifter attachment point and removing the shift indicator housing and filling in both areas.
Here are some pics of the modification process. I cut a beer can up to fill in the various holes and used JB weld to secure them and fill in the areas. Then ground it smooth. And here is the finished product. Not sure if I like the steering wheel - might change it down the road.
