The $160 67 GMC is passing on
Thanks to all! The time is about here to pass the truck on to the boy. He get’s his license next week. I haven’t spent much time chatting here, been too busy building the truck but here’s the short of it. I was driving across the back of my neighbors ranch that I hadn’t been on in many years. That was Memorial Day 2006. I spotted the small back window of a pickup behind an implement shed. I call my neighbor up and ask what it was and how much. He wanted $200, I offered $100….. Yeah I’m tight! It had been parked since 1986, I brought it home for $160, cleaned the trash out of the bed and gave it a bath. This was it then:
![]() ![]() ![]() I had an 88 Suburban with a blown rear and a 91 Lincoln with a blown engine out back for parts, I used mechanicals, engine, suspension, brakes from the sub and gutted the ford of it’s electrical, cooling fan, fuse center, wires, seats. ![]() And now, here it is today, almost ready to be the boy’s first cruser. Yeah, I’m scared! But I couldn't have done it without all the tips and tricks and info I gleaned from this site! thanks again all of you!
