Another 4x4 Question - '71K-10

I noticed yesterday that my drivers side Front spring seems to be a little weak and that the rear shackel is bent. Not enough to stop me from driving it though.

I would eventually like to convert this truck over to a K-20 (3/4 Ton - 8Lug - with the bigger brakes.

Since the availability of '73 + trucks is better than '71-'72 K-20's I figured that one would be a good doner for the axles.

Are the spring perches the same on the '73+ axles as the '72 - axles or would they have to be cut off and relocated?

What about the springs - are they the same length? - Where is a good place to get '67-'72 3/4ton Front Springs (LMC has them for about $160/ea - to the 3-leaf ones, my truck has 2-leaf ones and LMC wants $300/ea for those) Besides we all know that LMC sells a bunch of crap.

Anybody ever do this???
