I have a 72 3/4 ton with a 402 engine 400 tranny and 4:10 rear end. I like driving the truck but at 65 mph the thing is turning around 3500 rpm. I have a 700r4 I picked up at a swap meet. Do you think it would be worth it to swap it in. Any ideas what I would be turning for rpms at 60-65 mph.Besides shortening the drive shaft,shifting the tranny cross member,tranny mount and tranny linkage hookup (tv Cable)
what other problems or unexpected pieces am I going to need. Will the current driveshaft bolt up splines wise. Just hate to start the project and be dissappointed with the results or the cost of unanticipated part needs. Thanks
