OT: somebody gave me a Wavejammer

Well you guys seem to have everything under the sun so thought I would ask. It's a Yamaha WaveJammer 500. These thing any good, and is there anything special I need to know to start it. I've never had one before and now it sits in the shop waiting for me to do something with it. If I lived in a flood area I guess I would keep it in the back of the truck as a way of doing a beer run on the wet and soggy days when the truck becomes a submarine.
