progress pics of the 67, new motor/trans etc
hey guys, havent posted for a long time with pics of the truck, im sure some of you might remember about 3 years ago or so i had some up of the truck when my dad and i finished it, everything has been great but this fall i decided to put some money into it so i pulled the front clip and yanked out the old 275hp 327 and th400 trans and replace it with another 327/th400. the 327 is a 65 vette block and heads, i was rated 365 hp from the factory, this one has been bored .30 over, steel crank, forged pistons, 11:1 compression, and the rest are obvious bolt ons. its got just cheapo valve covers right now but im expecting a big old box of goodies from summit any day now. i went with the proform dress up kit, its all wrinkle black stuff. i also am getting some ceramicoated headers from them too. This weekend im picking up a freshly rebuilt th400 and if i get some time i might have them bolted together and in the truck but hard to say (ive got a busy weekend lined up....watching the cardinals win the world series and drinking lots of beer). i got the rear leafs de arched roughly 3.5-4 inches and a 1 inch shackle drop. Tonight i just fit up the new feul cell my buddies dad made up for me, i am so pumped with the fit and just how nice it tucks up compared to that awful blazer tank i had in there (that is forsale here soon by the way). Anyways here are some pics for you guys, tell me what you think, Derek
