CS130 Resistor

This thread has been discussed on this site and a bunch of others but I've found conflicting info. Someone on this site said that the resistor needs to handle more than 3W. However on alternator parts.com it says Use a resistor of any value between 35 ohm, 5 watt, and 500 ohm. 1/2 watt. I had a 75 ohm 10 watt resistor that seemed to work but it was huge. The 3 watt 75 ohm resistor was large. I just bought a 1 watt 75 ohm resistor that looks about the same size as the one in the kit from madelectronics. http://www.madelectrical.com/images/image002.jpg

So, will the 75 ohm 1 watt resistor work?

Thanks,
Whit
