Did I do good?

First off I'm new to this site and have been coming here for the last week.
Every year my Snow bird buddy leaves his '71 chevy here for me to keep
in my spare building for winter. I decided to put in my shop and look the
thing over and fix some things.... So I rebuilt the steering column to correct the slop trans linkage, lights ,horn etc. Still the linkage was sloppy so I re-worked the lower end and it is now like new.
The brake booster was bad so I replaced it and the MC. Went to bleed the
brakes and decided to pull off the rear drums and the brakes were shot plus
drums... So I call my ole 70 year old buddy in Florida and say " Bob, other than
gas and oil what have you done for this truck?" Bob says "Not much, make me
an offer on it!"
We haggald an I got it for $3600, Rebuilt trans and engine with 1500 miles maybe, new Goodyear widefoots and custom wheels. Soooo deal or no deal?
