700R4 / 208 question

In an effort to get the SG mobile, I am thinking of putting in a 700/208 out of a '85 Blazer. I know all about the jumpers / modifications that need to be done to make it work, but my question is:

how much longer is the 700/208 than the TH350/205?

I would like to use the stock rear ds if possible, but not if I have to move the engine forward a lot.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Paul
