Auto tranny gurus... HELP!

The tranny in my 'burb is starting to give me fits. It's a T-350 hooked to a NP-205. Instead of putting another t-350 in there, I was thinking of overdrive.

My questions:
I've heard that with the correct output shaft on a 700r4, it would bolt right back up to the NP-205 t-case without some fancy adapter that costs more than the 'burb did. Where do I get this output shaft? Is it the output shaft from a t-350? Does someone sell them?

Has anyone put a 700r4 in their 4 wheel drive mated to a NP205? What problems/headaches did you have?

Next, I'm thinking of a 4l60E or a 4l80E. I'd love to use a 4L80E, but what are the requirements for these transmissions. What computer do I need, does anyone make a computer for the tranny by itself? Has anyone done it?

Has anyone dealt with Phoenix Hard Parts (Phoenix Remanufactured Transmissions) (website)? What are they like? Can they rebuild a tranny right? I'd really like to go with someone that is within a 4-5 hour drive (read "in Arizona or New Mexico") in case I have to "hand deliver" their faulty rebuild, but I'm not hung up on it.

Thanks for the help guys.
