cutting floor to make a high hump

Any pix/advice/warnings or how to's, to convert a low hump to a high hump.
I am swapping cabs on my 67 4/4 and want the floor to look factory.
As far as I can tell the floors are a little different in the way they are stamped.
Do I cut out the high hump floor and weld it to the low hump floor?
Will the high hump cover bolt flat to the low hump floor?
