Question A Few Slow Progress Pics - and a Dumb Question - Heater Box?

I got a little done on the K-10 today

Got the 250 that is going to go in it all cleaned up - ran out of orange paint so I painted the intake black. Gonna leave the exh. manifold rusty - cause mainfold paint will burn off it unless i sand balst it & i really done feel like doing that

Got my seat back from the "seat guy" - turned out really nice actually. It's just a work truck and I don't need anything fancy - but I was very happy with the way it turned out - it's a greyish/bluish - more grey color

ok so now for the stupid question.
My truck originally had A/C - is doesn't work and that big heater box is under the hood taking up space & I took it out - cause a friendly little mouse made a house in it.
will a regular "Non-A/C" Heater Box fit??? - I'm assuming that you have to change the under dash unit too as the heater core location is different.

Thanks,
Andy
