Tips on centering rear end?

Any good tips on centering the rear diff? I have installed a set of 3" drop springs and will probably get a set of 2" blocks to finish it off. With that much drop I'll need to get an adjustable panhard bar as well. And I'll need to get it all lined up correctly so as not to tear up my carrier bearing... Which may be part of my issue now with a new vibration. Also how much of a pinon shim will I need with a total of 5" of drop? Any help appreciated!
