I bought a set of Stainless Steel Dial Calipers from KOI (savage auto parts). I was looking at the back of the package and there is a health hazard about lead. Warning this product contains lead, a chemical known to cause cancer and birth defects, or other reproductive harm. Wash hands after handling. Naturally I found this out after I had already been looking over the tool and using it.

Its from Performance Tool part # W80151.

How serious of a risk is this and why does it contain lead? You would think something like this wouldn't be sold to the public.

Any thoughts on this?
