Chrome spray paint

Ok, just for the record, this is in no way a permanent job. I plan to get my trim pieces professionally powdercoated one day. Until then however...

I was farting around in the auto parts store and happened along the spray paint section. My 1967 front trim pieces are all black (inc. bumper) and wanted to see them chrome. So, since I had an extra set of headlight bezels, I sanded them down and sprayed on the fake chrome. How does it look?

Well, if you've been around auto body, you can tell they aren't real chrome. They're slightly more dull, like maybe they're aged chrome. They do however glisten in the light better than the black and look better than the boring black I had on there. The black looked decent, but it was time for some shine. Even though it's a five dollar shine with slight rippling in it, the bezels don't look half bad on the truck. I'm going to go ahead and do the grille rings, but not the bumper. I would only recommend this on small trim where the "fakeness" is less noticeable. Hopefully, you won't think me to be too cheap. The extra sets are going to be professioanlly done and the right way.
