Welcome from western Illinois IMO, you dont need 4 bolt mains....I have been twistin the toad chit out of my 383 on 6 gears (2 bolt/stock bolts, arp rod bolts, good build & balance). 7200 is about the way the 1st couple gears go, as she revs fast in the lower gears. The cam in my sig says good power to around 5700....but she is still going at 6500. If you are scared, STUD the bottom(already mentioned), but you should be good to go to around 500 ponies on that 2 bolt block. Also as already mentioned, the splayed 4 bolt caps are the best deal on a sb chev. Best of luck..... L
