blower motor help

OK guys got a question.

I'm not the best at electrical, mainly because it scares me (I think I'm gonna screw something up)
The fan blower motor doesn't run what is the best way to check the fan to see if it actually works? Is there a way to just power the fan (I think the switch is messed up) So I want to replace the switch but while I order the switch I want to know that the fan works if not I'll buy another.
Thanks everyone!

Brian
