Sound system install

Hey guys,

I am goining to be installing a new sound system in my 72 C20.

I have installed the head unit. (Pioneer 7800mp)

Now I am going to be getting most likely some MB Quart Components for the front.

I am looking at the new Pioneer low profile subs to go under the seat. They cen be put in the Pioneer box and are only 5" or so deep. (10")

I have three questions:

1. Does anyone have any experience with these and what amp did you use?

2. The PO put in new carpet and crappy sound stuff. The carpet is glued. Does this mean that I need to install all new carpet so that I can install the correct cables (4 gauge power for amp and better amp and speaker wire)

3. If I have to get the carpet I might as well go for the gas tank carpet. Anyone use that piece of carpet on their truck?

Thanks for the help,

Chad
