You opinions again please

So I had hoped not to have to put exterior rear view mirrors on my '54, however, The law says," ". So I saw these on the "Southern" truck and thought they looked nice.

I also thought, sense the factory mirrors won't be an option, what about '54 Bel Air mirrors like these:
They are similar in price($100 or so), so that's not the issue. Am I doing my truck a disgrace by putting car parts on it's exterior? I'm trying to keep with the "Factory GM Parts" theme, but over all looks over ride that in this case. How many people will notice the "Bel Air" mirrors other than a GM buff? Thanks, Daniel U
