Wrong Bed Problem??

Hi Everyone,

I have question about my recent purchase of a 67 truck. I didn't know much about these trucks until recently, but after I bought mine I noticed it came with a 66 and earlier short bed. I don't like how it's attached as they have welded brackets to the truck frame to line up the mounting locations and it's a little crooked. The bed is in really good shape but I would rather have a the correct step side bed for the truck.

I know the value of a decent bed for the 67-72 years are pretty high, but its it the same for the earlier years?

Does anyone know if I can just replace the fenders with the correct ones and fix the mounting or should I just try to find the correct bed?

Thanks in advance for the advise!
