SM 465 experts ???

I need some expert experience regarding the input assembly of a SM 465.

The book I have for assembly shows a small bearing cage for the roller bearings that fit inside the input shaft for the main shaft to pilot on. I have the accurate count of rollers that came out of the original asssembled transmission, but no cage. Is it realy that important to have in the assembly???? If so, where can I get one??
Thank you,
Best of holidays to all!
