Can i move the enigine foward?

I have a 1970 chevy pickup that has a 358 in it and I have a dual quad tunnel ram intake to go on it. The only problem is that the back carb barely clears the firewall by about one inch. I have a 2 inch spacer and bug catcher to top it off but in order for it to fit i'm going to have to move the engine foward about four inches. I worried about doing that because i don't know how the weight transfer will after the handling and how the truck ride. I know it's been do before so I thought this would be a good place to get so advice.

P.S. Doing work to the firewall is out of the question cause i have no body skills.
Thanks
