clutch question

ok, i got a 72 lwb 4x4 with a 12 inch lift,running 42's my question is i've installed a 454 with a granny 4 speed with 488 gears,but i've got a little squealing noise,i think it might be pilot bearing,i replaced it, but it came from auto zone and i have got some bad parts from there before but could it be my clutch aint adjusted just right, i'm use to a hydrolic clutch any help would be gratefull, because i'm ready to tear it apart again,for the forth time
