New guy here
Well, what can I really say except I've always wanted a classic and now I have one. Got a great deal on a 1971 SWB with a 1996 vortec motor and 3 speed converted to the floor using a lokar shifter. The motor was built with an Edelbrock package. The transmission was rebuilt using stronger materials. I look forward to hanging out with you guys here. Don't get upset if I come up with some stupid questions.
Already added power brakes and power steering. Put in a new sending unit for the gas guage, and ordered front and rear sway bars. Also have new drip rails to weld in. Prior owner was going to shave them and never finished. Next on the priority list is A/C and swapping out the rear end for a posi unit with a 308 gear. That 3 speed transmission and 411s is tough on gas. I'll try and figure out how to post some pics on here. Thanks for allowing me to join. |
