CST/10 info

I got my hands on a 1969 Chevy CST/10. My neighbor mentioned a few times that it was the rare version of the C10. He knows his stuff, hes restoring a 68 Cougar, and owns a 82(?) Chevy Silverado. So now that I own it, I went online to find some stuff on the CST/10. I cant find crap about it, except for sale ads.The only info I got, was that only 2000 were made in '70. Woohoo, it does turn out to be rare, and I know it was only made in '69 and '70.

Im just wondering whats special on the CST/10 verses a normal C10, the production numbers for '69.

And also, what can go in place of the stock turbo 350 trans. Preferably something from a newer truck. My dad and I are looking for another turbo 350 (this truch is engine and trans-less), but wonder what else fits with no changes to the crossmember.
