dash replacement, How To...

I have searched the FAQ section and I can't find specific info that will tell me how to replace my dash. There are photos of before and after and info about cutting through the holes, but I am trying to find the in-between stuff. After I remove the bolts on the end where do i cut. there are spot welds on each end. This is my daily driver so the windshield stays in and I don't want to screw it up. Any help would be appreciated. Oh yeah, the PO cut up the dash to install what looks like a Tv. I have a uncut A/C dash to replace it with so long as I don't screw it up.
