leason learned - disconnect battery!

i know better. was pulling gauge cluster to install the camaro tach i got from 72dually. i think the loose connector made contact with the back of the cluster. acrid smoke starting pouring out of the dash. i disconnected the battery, but not before it burned a wire back to the fuse block. wonder why a fuse didn't blow?

let this serve as a reminder to disconnect out there!
